SUMMIT TOWNSHIP, MI – Authorities have identified the two victims in a double stabbing that took place shortly after 6 am on Monday morning in the 2000 Block of Carlton Boulevard that left 1 dead, and 1 severely injured.
Deputies arrived around 6:10 am to find Richard Somervill, 26, and Jazmine Essex, 21 both with multiple stab wounds. Both victims were transported to the Henry Ford Hospital Emergency Room where Somervill was treated for his injuries, and is in critical condition. Essex would succumb to her injuries and be pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police were quick to identify and arrest Robert Annabel II, 41 near Walmart just blocks away from the home. Both Annabel II, and Somervill were parolees at the home, which is owned and operated by the Michigan Department of Corrections. Annabel is currently lodged at the Jackson County Jail, and is looking at charges of Open Murder, and Attempted Murder.
Annabel was released on Parole in July 2021 after being incarcerated on the charges of home invasion, prison escape, and prison weapons charges. Annabel was set to be discharged from parole this coming July.
