Have you received a suspicious text from yourself? If so, you’re not alone.
Many Americans, Verizon Wireless customers especially, have been receiving text messages from their own number.
Whatever you do, do not click on the link sent as it is a “smishing” scam. “Smishing” is when crooks will sent fraudulent messages in an attempt to get your personal information.
You can report the scam text directly to Verizon by forwarding it to SCAM (7726) or report it as junk or spam in the messaging app you use.
