ADDISON, MI – A 17 year old Addison High School student has been taken into custody after bringing a loaded firearm to school.

“On October 28th, 2021 at 1:37 pm, Deputies from The Lenawee County Sheriffs Office responded to Addison Community Schools to investigate a student who was carrying a weapon in the school and that Addison Schools are on lock down. While in route, Deputies were advised that the student is currently in the office and being cooperative with school staff and that a concealed loaded handgun had been secured by staff.
Sheriff’s Deputies determined that the 17 year old male student did not brandish the firearm nor were specific verbal threats made to any staff or students. The juvenile was taken into custody and charges will be sought.”
