Jackson, Michigan — After severe thunderstorms and heavy rains swept through lower Michigan Wednesday, August 12th, overnight, and into the early morning of Thursday, August 11th, there have been reports of thousands without power, flooding on major roadways, and downed trees. Consumers Energy crews are being assisted by crews as far away as Kentucky to restore power to more than 250,000 Michigan customers without energy as of this morning.
