One person is dead after a condo explosion in Warren, MI, Sunday.
It happened just after 6PM on Villa Pointe Drive.
A double condo suddenly exploded out of nowhere and was completely obliterated by the blast. The explosion and flames caused significant damage to neighboring structures.
A man in his 40s was found deceased in the basement, while a man and woman from the other unit managed to escape.
Gas and power to the area were cut off for several hours as investigators searched for the cause of the explosion.
Authorities speculate that the cause was a natural gas malfunction, but are still unsure. The explosion remains under investigation.
