The 47 year-old Hudson woman who killed an on-duty animal control officer back in June has been charged with second-degree murder.
State Troopers arrested Michele Anne Dropulich on Friday, December 11. She was arraigned the next day for second-degree murder, operating while intoxicated causing death and reckless driving causing death.
The crash occurred back on June 4th in Monroe Township at the intersection of Raisinville Road and M-50, where she ran a red light and crashed into a Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control vehicle. The impact fatally injured 24 year-old animal control officer Darrian Young, who died in the hospital 2 days later.
Dropulich was seriously injured in the accident. Investigators say that she was travelling at excessive speeds and was under the influence at the time of the crash.
