Jackson County COVID-19 update for Tuesday, April 21

Jackson County, Michigan is now reporting 272 cumulative cases of COVID-19, responsible for 12 reported deaths. However, this count does not include those within Michigan Department of Corrections facilities in the Jackson area, which bring the total cases in our area to 605 and a total of 19 deaths. A breakdown of cases and fatalities within MDOC facilities can be viewed here.

Henry Ford Allegiance Health reports that as of 12 p.m. Monday, April 20, there are 51 individuals with positive COVID-19 results who are inpatients at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. An additional 10 persons under investigation are hospitalized at HFAH. To date, a total of 52 positive COVID-19 HFAH inpatients have been treated and discharged.
