Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Senator Mike Shirkey were among the community leaders that attended the Monday ground breaking for Andy’s Place, a new 50-unit residential facility for long-term safe housing for those suffering from opioid addiction. The project will offer affordable housing and onsite support for residents with addictions, as well as activities and employment training. The program is a collaboration of the Michigan Governor’s office, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, the Michigan Treatment Courts and Cinnaire.
