A vast selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and hanging baskets will available for sale to the public during the first two Saturdays in May.
The 11th Annual Agriscience/FFA Plant Sale at the Jackson Area Career Center will be held from 8am – 12pm on Saturday, May 4 and Saturday, May 11. The greenhouses are located behind the Career Center at 6800 Browns Lake Road in Jackson. Free parking will be available in all neighboring ISD parking lots. Students will be available to help customers identify plants and load their purchases into vehicles.
Agriscience students have been working hard all year to grow hundreds of plants and flowers for this sale, which is one of the most popular events at the Career Center.
“The annual sale is a great way for the community to share in the wonderful job students have done this year,” said Jason Gehrke, Career Center Agriscience instructor and FFA advisor. “The sale also generates support for important hands-on learning experiences for the students.” Proceeds go towards student scholarships, FFA membership costs, class t-shirts, the National Convention trip, and much more.
