At its meeting last week the Jackson City Council approved a 12-year tax break which will help a new restaurant open at the site of the old One Five One Restaurant, Darryl’s Downtown and Otello’s. The city council unanimously approved a 12-year Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act certificate which prevents property taxes from increasing as improvements are made on the building. Plans are for a modern American restaurant called “Veritas” focusing on seafood, steak, sushi and craft cocktails.
