The 19th Annual Subway Feed A Friend is getting set to launch again on Thursday.
Customers who make a donation of food or cash at their local Subway will not only be helping their local food pantries, but will also get a free 6-inch sub with the purchase of a regular-priced 6-inch sub. Bob Richardson is the owner of 15 area Subway restaurants, and he knows that these donations stay hyper-local.
“When I say local, I mean real local. We’ve got 21 stores here in the Jackson County area that are participating. Each one of those stores has a particular food bank, the closest one to that store, like in Brooklyn its going to the (Brooklyn) Food Pantry, in Napoleon, it’s going to the Napoleon Food pantry, and in Michigan Center, it’s going to the Food Pantry in Michigan Center.”
