A 34-year-old Jackson woman is in jail after a minor crime spree Wednesday morning that began at St. John Elementary School. She broke into the school just after 6:00 a.m. Wednesday, stole items, then lit candles that set off the fire alarm. She then crossed Cooper Street and broke out windows at Great Lakes Caring. Police used surveillance footage to get a description of the woman and arrested her a few hours later. She then confessed to breaking and entering and malicious destruction of property.
