At its Tuesday night meeting the Leoni Township Board of Trustees reaffirmed Howard Linnabary as supervisor. He then was administered an oath of office, ending a dispute over the position. Linnabary was elected in 2016 and survived a recall in November, but had not taken an oath of office by the January 1st deadline. In other business, the board voted to fill a trustee seat vacated in January when Corey Kennedy resigned after being elected in November to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. Ten candidates submitted applications for the seat and on Tuesday night the board voted in Nora Sharpe-McGee by a 3-1 margin. Sharpe-McGee owns Real Estate Opportunities and has worked as a real estate broker for 22 years.
