County National Bank’s Cheri Good is a mortgage expert, and she joined WKHM to talk about rates.
It appears that this month might be a good time to get the money you need for that home improvement project you’ve been eyeing. “Last month we saw a little bit of uptick in the rates, but we’ve actually seen that lower a bit since last month, and it’s stabilizing,” Good said. “What that’s doing is allowing for people to take into consideration going into the winter months is there any in-home projects they might want to do, and if so, it might be a good time to take advantage of that. So, we are seeing that increase while the inventory from a purchase standpoint tends to be down.”
Good has a feeling 2019 will be a great year for mortgages, and is excited to continue to help the community.“With us being local, one, you have a single point of contact which is great for people,” Good said. “The servicing stays with us, we have local appraisers, and we really pride ourselves on providing that top-notch service. Really, our goal is to celebrate our closings with our realtors and customers. We love seeing the trust that’s being developed within our community, throughout even the mortgage process and what we have to offer. We look forward to a very successful 2019.”
