Roger Petersen checked in with WKHM yesterday, and we had to ask what’s in this holiday season at Petersen Jewelers.
His response? “Almost everything is hot this year. I was really surprised that there was no one major thing that seems to be going out.”
Specifically, he has seen an uptick in wedding sets and engagement rings. “We have wedding sets this year, usually that’s a springtime thing, but for Christmas this year, wedding sets, engagement rings are really big,” Petersen said. “Our huge variety, it’s come to be known that this is the place to be for wedding sets.”
If engagement or wedding sets aren’t your thing, Petersen said that his store has plenty of options, including trading up. “Our diamond earrings are big every year, you would think it would run slow sometimes but it never does. We have a few people coming in and trading up, getting something larger than they bought the year before. We’ll take theirs back and exchange it for something bigger.”
If you’re looking for something smaller, there’s plenty on sale. “We’ve got all sorts of diamond tennis bracelets, as well as ruby and sapphire rings. We’ve got a lot of things on sale this year. We’ve got karat diamond clusters for $249, we’ve got $99 rings, $69 earrings” Petersen said.
