The Hot Air Jubilee at Ella Sharp Park is back again, and your only LIVE coverage is on the Jackson Radio Works family of networks. On Friday, tune into K105.3 for coverage, and NewsTalk 970am/101.5fm for Saturday’s happenings.
Jeff Knapp, the Sponsors and Media coordinator for the event, joined WKHM and spoke with pride about the sponsors, including new title sponsor American 1 Credit Union. A1CU is signed as the title sponsor through 2020.
Knapp also said that there are new events taking place this year. “Friday only, we’ll have helicopter rides from 4pm until dark, with a minor break for the (balloon) launch,” Knapp said. “also, weather permitting, we’re going to have in the afternoons on Friday and Saturday tethered balloon rides.”
Jeannie Lindahl, a veteran of the Jubilee for close to twenty years, returns with souvenirs like t-shirts, pins, and more. “I wouldn’t give it up, lots of fun.” Lindahl said. “I just like seeing the people, having a good event, it’s fun with the intense preparation we have for it.”
