A Lansing mobile home park has been condemned by the Ingham County Health Department for a failing sewage disposal system. Health officials this week notified residents of the Life ORiley Mobile Home Park & Campground on the city's south side that they have 10 days to find another place to live. The mobile home park has 85 units, 78 of which are rental homes. Most of the residents are elderly and low-income. According to the Lansing State Journal, health officials say the trailer park is being condemned, not individual mobile homes. However, one of those homes was destroyed in a fire early this morning (Wednesday).
