General Motors says its investing $1.3 billion (B) in five plants including two in Michigan, creating or retaining about 1,000 jobs. The announcement was made at Flint Assembly, which will get $600 million for a new paint shop. GM Executive Vice President and North America President Mark Reuss says the announced plant upgrades continue the momentum of a resurgent auto industry.
