While a new poll says Michigan residents have growing faith in the economy, they don't seem as excited about spending, this holiday season. Eleven percent of the respondents plan to spend more than they did last year. Thirty six percent plan to spend less. Fifty-one percent said they'd spend about the same as last year. The poll was conducted for the Lambert Edwards public relations firm by Denno Research. Regarding the state's economy, 56-percent said they think it's headed in the right direction. That's a nine percent increase over the 47 percent response in a July poll. Also, only 29-percent said they thought the economy was headed in the wrong direction, compared to 41 percent in July.
