The man was stopped for speeding by Officer Rick Rodden on Marshall Street . The driver drove off, striking Rodden who was standing in front of the vehicle, which sparked a chase through Brooklyn. During the chase, the man allegedly rammed his vehicle into the patrol car.
The man fled to his home, where the pursuit ended with him being tasered by Officer Rodden. The man allegedly moved towards the officer in an agressive manner.
The Brooklyn man, who was not named, faces four felonies: Assaulting a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, third-degree fleeing and eluding and malicious destruction of police property.
The man was lodged at Jackson County Jail and will be arraigned Monday.
Officer Rodden sustained no serious injuries.
