JPD Respond Attempted Robbery & Arrest Mom For Driving Drunk With Kids In Car

Friday, Jackson Police responded to an attempted robbery in the 100 block of S. Jackson Road. The victim pulled the car over to attend to her child. Someone approached the vehicle, said they had a gun and demanded money. The victim began yelling and screaming and the suspect ran. Nothing was taken and the investigation is continuing.

Over the weekend an officer from the Jackson Police Department pulled over a vehicle in the area of West and Norfolk. The driver was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. The passengers in the vehicle were the driver’s 2 year old and 4 year old children. The driver is also facing charges of Child Endangerment.
