As WKHM previously reported the FAA Tower at the Jackson County Airport, due to sequestration is slated to close along with 180 other towers across the country. WKHM spoke with Jackson County Airport Manager Kent Mauer.
Mauer is not optimistic about any possible reinstatement of the tower.
Mauer admits this is not good for air safety.
Mauer also addresses the impact on airport traffic.
