The investigation is continuing into the death of a four year old from this weekend. Lt. Mike Krumm from the Michigan State Police Jackson post told News Talk 970 this was an accident and a tragedy.
Michigan State Police Jackson Post and the Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety are investigating the accidental shooting death. Lt. Krumm said this is a painful reminder of the critical importance of gun safety.
One of the nation’s foremost experts and noted author, Russell Friedman, was live on News Talk 970 Monday morning. He said these types of incidents are beyond our scope.
Friedman has written a number of books on the topic of grief and recovery, his latest is “Moving Beyond Loss”, where he talks about an incident that can effect us, even if we are not a direct participant.
Lt. Krumm added this investigation could last a coupe weeks with detailed forensic analysis.
