Michigan State Police and Blackmon Public Safety are investigating the tragic accidental shooting death of the four year old son of Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Easter. The incident occurred Saturday afternoon shortly after 5 pm. Deputy Easter was on his way to work when he was called by his wife about the accident. The boy identified as Michael Easter was taken to Allegiance where he was pronounced dead. Jackson County Sheriff Steve Rand is thanking the community for the outpouring of support for the Easter family and the Sheriff's department at this difficult time.
