Tuesday officers from the Columbia Township Police Department responded to Columbia schools after they had received a threat. Police believe the threat was phoned into the school around 1:30 AM, school officials first heard the voicemail around 5:30 AM. The caller was general in nature and did not mention a specific means of carrying out the threat. Investigators kept a copy of the voicemail for evidence. School staff and police officers checked the schools and the buses, no further threats or evidence was located. Police remained on site and after a two hour delay classes resumed at Columbia Schools.
