Threat Called To Columbia Schools



Tuesday officers from the Columbia Township Police Department responded to Columbia schools after they had received a threat. Police believe the threat was phoned into the school around 1:30 AM, school officials first heard the voicemail around 5:30 AM.  The caller was general in nature and did not mention a specific means of carrying out the threat.  Investigators kept a copy of the voicemail for evidence.  School staff and police officers checked the schools and the buses, no further threats or evidence was located.  Police remained on site and after a two hour delay classes resumed at Columbia Schools.  The investigation is continuing and you have any information on the call you are asked to contact the Columbia Township Police Department at 517-592-3122.
