Sunday night Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle crash on Jefferson Road near Sand Beach in Columbia Township.  A vehicle driven by a 16 year old from Napoleon was heading east when he lost control and struck a tree.  The drive was taken to Allegiance and treated for minor injuries.  The passenger was a 17 year old from Jackson.  The teen was taken by ambulance to Allegiance and later transported to Mott’s Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.  Both were wearing seatbelts and the investigation has revealed that alcohol was not a factor.
