Tuesday night the Jackson Community College Board on a 4-3 vote authorized the Jackson Prepatory and Early College Charter School. The yes votes were Phil Hoffman, John Crist, Sam Barnes and Ed Mathein. Hoffman told WKHM the school will give at risk youth a chance to succeed.
Voting no was Sheila Patterson, Matt Heins and Donna Lake.
