A home at 509 Union St. in Jackson was destroyed by fire Christmas afternoon. Jackson
and Summit Depts. responded around 3pm. the home was fully engulfed, the occupantswere able to escape without injury, Jackson Fire Dept. is investigating. Monday morning
a family was burned out of their home in Leoni Township. Blackmon Public Safety
handled that call. Investigators believe the fire started in the attic, no one was injured
in that blaze, the Red Cross was assisting the family.
