The Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety announced an agreement with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.  In an effort to provide better response to emergencies on the lakes within Leoni Township, Sheriff Steve Rand has stationed a patrol boat at the Roger A. White Public Safety Building on 5th Street in Leoni Township.  The boat will only be used for emergency responses and will not be used for normal marine patrol.  Public Safety Officers and Deputies with the Marine Division will have access to the boat for emergencies on the any of the lakes in the Leoni Township area.
