Wednesday night, Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department responded to an accident on Brooklyn Road near Crego road in Columbia Township for a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.  At 16 year old Brooklyn resident was turning left into a driveway when her 2004 Pontiac G6 was struck by a northbound motorcycle that attempted to pass her on the left.  The motorcycle struck the car near the driver’s door.  The driver of the car and her 15 year old passenger received minor injuries as a result of the crash and they were treated at the scene.  The motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries, he was taken to Allegiance and later to U of M.  He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.  It appears the man was drinking prior to the crash.
