Saturday afternoon Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department responded a home on Wamplers Heights Drive in Norvell Township for a shooting.  At the scene Deputies found 49 year old Robert M. Marcyan had been shot and killed.  Investigators immediately starting looking for a 33 year old suspect out of the Dearborn Heights area.  The suspect stole the victim’s vehicle and an officer from the Columbia Township Police Department saw the vehicle when they were responding the scene.  A chase ensued and the suspect crashed the vehicle in a wooded area near Case and Horning roads.  The suspect ran from the vehicle and eventually stole a truck.  Deputies found the truck traveling on Austin Road.  Spike strips were used to disable the truck and the suspect was taken into custody and is lodged at the Jackson County Jail pending arraignment.
