The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney today issued a warrant charging Linda Lou Chase with multiple counts of Forgery. Restitution will be sought.
The charges stem from and investigation into the death of Charles Zigler. Mr. Zigler was found by police who were conducting a welfare check. It was determined he had died of natural causes approximately 19 months before and was found seated in a chair in the home.

Chase, age 72, was his longtime companion who lived with him at his residence. The warrant alleges that Chase had continued to receive and convert social security and pension benefits of the deceased after his death. The amount of the benefits is estimated by police to be in excess of $28,000.
