Jackson City Manager Larry Schaffer has resigned.  The news became official at Tuesday night's Jackson City Council meeting.  WKHM spoke with Mayor Martin Griffin.

Griffin said he wasn't all that surprised with the announcement.

The Mayor said this time around he doesn't anticipate any problems in finding Schaffer's replacement.

Councilwoman Laura Dwyer-Schlecte said she was somewhat surprised with the news.
