Sheriff Steve Rand reports that on July 1, 2012, Deputy Thomas Jaakkola from the Jackson County Office of the Sheriff was dispatched to the Oasis Car Wash at 1709 W. Michigan Avenue in Summit Township, for a breaking and entering.  Deputy Jaakkola was able to develop a lead and through his investigation located the man responsible.  The suspect, a 34 year old Kentucky man who also has a felony warrant out of Kentucky for forgery was located at a nearby apartment building. 
The suspect was arrested and lodged at the Jackson County Jail and charges will be requested for burglary of a building and safe breaking.  Authorities in Kentucky have also placed an extradition hold on the suspect for their charges.
