The Jackson County Commission approved a renewal of the $100,000 payment to the Enterprise Group at Tuesday night’s meeting.  They also approved $55,000 to the Region 2 Planning Commission.  The money to the Enterprise Group has been somewhat of a conversation piece lately with the city deciding to not give money to the organization and township’s examining what they should do.  Commission Chairman Steve Shotwell explained why they feel it’s important to support the EG.

Shotwell said this is all part of a larger picture.
