News Talk 970 WKHM was the only local media outlet to deliver live, on location coverage of the All Media Blood Drive from the South Central Michigan Chapter of the American Red Cross.  84 year old Al Daly is Jackson County’s biggest blood donor.

89 units of blood were collect at the drive, just one shy of their goal.

The American Red Cross has announced that the Great lake Blood Services employees represented by Teamsters Local 580 and OPEIU Local 459 will be returning to work.  The parties have not yet reached new contracts, but will continue to work toward mutually satisfactory resolution.  These union represent approximately 150 blood collection operation employees who went on strike beginning March 30.
