Ribbon Cutting For Urban Fishery

The oversized chamber of commerce scissors ceremoniously cut the ribbon to the new Cascades Urban Fishery Friday afternoon.  The 1.3 acre pond has an accessible fishing pier, walk paths and a beautiful pavilion.  The pond has been stocked with Bass and Bluegill but fishing won’t be allowed until the first of July.  Jackson County Parks Director Brandon Ransom told WKHM this is a part of the park that was under utilized but now has new life.
