Part of the City of Jackson budget recently approved by the council included $65,000 being shifted from the Under the Oaks renovation to the renovation of the pool at Ella Sharp Park.  Councilman Andy Frounfelker said that money is not for maintenance of the park, maintenance of the park falls under the general maintenance plan of the parks department.  Frounfelker said the $65,000 was set aside years ago for the renovation of the Under the Oaks Park as part of an agreement with the Jackson County Republicans.

Frounfelker said its imperative the city spends money on the pool in order to keep it operating.
