Effective immediately, Kalmbach Road between Maute Road and Sager Road in Grass Lake Township is closed because of a culvert failure and road collapse.  No detour route will be posted so motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.  According to the Jackson County Road Commission the completion of this project could be several months while survey work is performed and plans are prepared to obtain the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality permit.
