More than 200 students at a Jackson County School got an extended Memorial Day Holiday weekend because their school is infested with fleas.  Officials at Springport Middle School say a large number of fleas were found in the carpeted common areas of the school Tuesday morning.  The district decided to dismiss classes for safety purposes and students were sent home for the day.  According to reports, the custodial staff and exterminators are working on getting rid of the bugs.  Classes are expected to resume Wednesday.
