Tuesday night several emergency responders from Jackson County and Washtenaw County responded to a structure fire on Hayball road in Grass Lake.  The fire destroyed a large horse barn at Campbell Stables.  According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department said 40 horses perished in the fire and an employee of the stables was taken to U of M to be treated for burns to his hands and feet.  The Sheriff’s department was on hand to assist with traffic.
