Lucas Croad Turned Himself In Thursday



Tuesday, Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 11000 block of Lippert Road in Polaski Township. A home was broken into while the owner was sleeping.
The suspect broke in and stole several items. Deputies identified the suspect as 32 year old Lucas J. Croad who is also suspected in other burglaries in the Concord and Pulaski areas. Deputies received information on Croad’s whereabouts. They responded to a location in Pulaski Township.  He was able to escape before law enforcement arrived. Michigan State Police K-9 and aviation units where called in to assist the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. An extensive air and ground search was conducted in the Eckert Road area. Croad could not be located. Wednesday an arrest warrant was issued for Croad. On Thursday after being encourage by family, Croad turned himself in to the Jackson County Sherriff's Department.  On Friday Croad was arraigned on Home Invasion 1st degree charges and was give a $75,000 bond.
