AAA MICHIGAN REPORTS THAT GAS PRICES DROPPED FOR THE THIRD WEEK IN A ROW.  MICHIGAN'S CURRENT STATEWIDE AVERAGE IS $3.63 PER GALLON WHICH IS ABOUT $0.03 LOWER THAN LAST WEEK AND ABOUT $0.21 LOWER THAN THAN THIS SAME TIME LAST YEAR.  THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR SELF-SERVE DECREASED ABOUT $0.11 IN METRO DETROIT OVER THE PAST WEEK, WITH THE AVERAGE PRICE IN DETROIT MATCHING

Officer James Bonneau honor passes the House


The U.S. House of Representatives has voted to honor Jackson police officer James Bonneau who was killed in the line of duty four years ago.  The House passed a bill naming the post office on Michigan Ave after officer Bonneau.  Bonneau was shot in March of 2010 responding to a domestic dispute call.  He was able to radio for help to save the life of Blackman Township officer Darin
