CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE JOHN MCBAIN ISSUED A RULING THAT FAVORED THE CLASS ACTION IN THE STORMWATER CASE AGAINST THE CITY OF JACKSON.  MCBAIN SAID THE CITY CANNOT ISSUE ANOTHER TAX TO PAY BACK AN ILLEGAL TAX IN THIS CASE.   BRIAN SURGENER, ATTORNEY

Jackson, Calhoun County Road Director Resigns, Facing Criminal Charges


Jerry Peterson, the road director for both Jackson and Calhoun Counties turned in his resignation Friday to Jackson County Administrator Michael Overton.  Peterson, according to a report on Kalamazoo's TV 3, was stopped by Albion police this past Tuesday and is facing possible criminal charges.
