A 17 year old student at Sprinport High School was arrested Thursday following a threat to commit a shooting was made on Wednesday. Noah Moricz is in Jackson County Jail on a 100 thousand dollar bond, following an investigation by Springport Township Police Chief David Luce. The threat was through a social media account. Moricz faces a preliminary exam next week on the charges, which include threat of terrorism, that's a felony, that carries a max of 20 years.
Blackman Public Safety will be watching Northwest High School carefully today,
after rumors of a shooting swirled Wednesday and Thursday, dozens of students
were questioned, none were detained.
