TWO STATE CORRECTIONS OFFICERS SUSPENDED

TWO STATE CORRECTIONS OFFICERS HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED AND MAY END UP LOSING THEIR JOBS.  THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS SAYS BOTH OFFICERS WORK AT THE G. ROBERT COTTON FACILITY IN JACKSON.

SPOKESMAN RUSS MARLAN SAYS A FEMALE OFFICER IS SUSPECTED OF HAVING AN INAPPROPRIATE RELATIONSHIP WITH AN INMATE AND SMUGGLING HIM A CELL PHONE.  A MALE CORRECTIONS OFFICER WAS SUSPENDED FOR HAVING CONTACT WITH A WOMAN NOT HOUSED AT THE FACILITY, BUT WHO IS ON PROBATION.

MARLAN SAYS BOTH CASES ARE UNDER REVIEW AND COULD LEAD TO OFFICER'S TERMINATION.
