More Hardware For Allegiance



More honors for Allegiance Health, VHA Inc. has selected allegiance Health as one of two organizations in the country to receive its 2012 VHA Leadership Award for Community Benefit Excellence.  The honor was announced this past Sunday at VHA’s annual conference in Denver.  The award focuses on several areas including Best of Class Community Benefit Program.  Allegiance was recognized for their program started in 2003 in collaboration with the Jackson County Health Department.  The Jackson Prenatal Task Force that works to reduce the number of infants who die each year from preventable causes.  According to the Michigan Department of Community Health infant mortality rates in Jackson County were down 69 percent from the period 2005 thru 2010.  Megan Albertson is Manager for Community Health at Allegiance.
