Mike Gumper the son of legendary former Jackson County Fair Manager Herman Gumper has died following an accidental fall at his home. Mike Gumper has worked the fair for 54 years in almost every capacity. Denice Owens, current Fair Manager, told WKHM the news of Mike’s sudden death shook the fairgrounds to its core.
