Big Night For Jackson Area Republicans
I was one of the night closest races and in the end Jerry Jarzynka captured the Prosecutors Office with 52% of the vote over Chuck Perlos and his 47%.
Jackson County chose to retain Sheriff Steve Rand.
Only one contested County Commission race, former Jackson City Councilman Democrat John Polaczyk got the win over John Wilson.
Democrat Todd Brittain retained his seat as Leoni Township Supervisor.
No surprises in the State House races, Earl Poleski kept his 64th District seat.
Mike Shirkey easily won but didn’t feel much like celebrating as the top of the ticker results came in.
Shirkey also spoke with WKHM Political Annalist Phil Hoffman about committee assignments in Lansing.
And area Congressman Tim Walberg is returning to Washington.
