On Monday Allegiance will receive from the Environmental Protection Agency an Energy Star designation.  WKHM spoke with facilities manager Craig Whipstick.

Whipstock told WKHM the award culminates three years of energy reduction measures implemented at Allegiance.

Whipstock said Consumers Energy and several other local business played a role in accomplishing their now 80 percent rating.
