Jackson College President Dan Phelan appeared on AM Jackson with Greg O’Connor and discussed the change in the college’s board chair.
Sam Barnes, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Commonwealth Associates and now former chair, had to step down from the position due to increased work commitments, according to Phelan.
John Christ, former Vice Chair, now ascends to the Chair position while Shelia Patterson was moved into the Vice Chair position.
Another longtime chair, Edward Mathein, announced his resignation from the board. Phelan pointed out that Mathein was the last remaining member of the board that hired him in 2000.
